Law & Order: SVU, Harper's Ferry 2019, Subway: The Series, Model Majority.

Any advice for young people getting into the arts?

Don't let people make you give up your dreams. Also have fun whenever possible.

How did you get your start?

When I got laid off from my research science job I did background work for money. Then every time I went on set I was reminded of how I always dreamed of being a performer and decided to change careers and studied acting and comedy.

Do you have any favorite moments in your career that you'd like to share?

So many. Performing as Helena in Midsummer Night's Dream in the gardens of the Royal Shakespeare Company and meeting the legendary John Barton, 1st TV role was on Law & Order: SVU and I got a stunt double but also got to do some stunts, creating Subway: The Series and winning awards around the world, and founding Model Majority - an all AAPI sketch comedy team that has been featured in the New York Times and more.

What have you found is the biggest challenge in your career?

Lack of funds to have the freedom to create fully without stress.

Who do you admire?

My comedy queens Margaret Cho and Ali Wong.

Did you always want to be in the arts or did you have another path before you got here?

I was always interested in the arts, but was trying to be a good Asian for my family and was planning on going to medical school. I have a B.S. in Biochemistry and Master's in Public Health.

What are some goals you hope to achieve?

Have my own critically acclaimed network TV show one day.

What do you love most about what you do?

Making people laugh and feel less alone.

If you could name one point in time when everything changed for you, what was it?

I was hit by a minivan while walking across the street and I thought my life and career in the arts was over. But after years of therapy I can perform again and try to live my life to the fullest and do good since it can all go away in an instant.
