I have to admit, I am one of those people where "self care" is not something I put at the top of my "to do" list. And trust me, I always have a "to do" list. But with this pandemic and a career change happening at the same time, it forced me to stop and think about how much my life & health really go hand in hand.
I am horrible at sitting down and meditating, something that's been on my "to do" list for years. But what I have managed to do pretty consistently over the past year is get in my daily walls. I see this routine as a "moving meditation". It allows me to zone out for a little while and just be with me and quiet down. I recently started checking out hiking trails around Las Vegas and realized how much this area has to offer when it comes to a natural escape.
I encourage all of you to take a little "time out" of your busy schedule and just give yourself some "me time" outside. It will do wonders for your body & soul.
