Announcing the winner for our special Cre8sian Project Scholarship for Graduating Seniors!
Our winner is Sarah Phillips, a senior graduating from Las Vegas Academy! Her artistic growth in music and exploration of singing poetry this past year has shown us that she is a true Motiv8sian!
Born in Escondido, California, Sarah Phillips began playing the flute at age five and is currently a senior (age 18) at Las Vegas Academy of the Arts. She has been under the tutelage of Cynthia Man for 13 years. She performs as a soloist and consistently receives high scores and competition wins for her artistry. Along with being a soloist, Sarah is involved in many school and community ensembles, such as the top Wind Ensemble at her school and the Las Vegas Young Artist Orchestra outside of school. Sarah has also participated in masterclasses with Sir James Galway, Mary Karen Clardy, Robert Cart, John McMurtry, and Michel Bellevance. She aspires to be a professional musician and is pursuing a career in flute performance at West Virginia University this fall.
Sarah will be receiving a $400 scholarship to put towards her college education. Congratulations Sarah on all of your musical endeavors!
