What are some of your favorite credits/projects?
Recently I released a music video single called “Heart Station,” and it was super fun to write as well as film.
What are some interesting facts about yourself?
I didn’t pick up any musical instrument until I was 20 years old. I was very much a late bloomer when it came to my artistic abilities. When I realized I had talent, I didn’t take it seriously until I was 25 years old.
Do you have any favorite moments in your career that you’d like to share?
In 2019, I created an all-ages music festival on my birthday (September 7) with some very dedicated friends, called Farside Wonderfest (www.FarsideWonderfest.com). That was probably the most difficult and rewarding experience I’ve undertaken recently.
Any advice for young people getting into the arts?
I would say being curious and having fun with whatever you enjoy is important. Everything else will fall into place as long as you have a good heart.
Do you have any organizations or non profits you work with you’d like to highlight?
I work with the Love Yourself Foundation (https://www.thelyfoundation.com) – an organization that promotes self-love in individuals. I also work with SPCKRFT Studios, a community oriented studio and creation space. (www.spckrftlv.com)
How did you get your start?
Everything began with open mics in late 2013. I just kept going to open mics and meeting like-minded individuals who wanted to share their art and give.
Did you always want to be in the arts or did you have another path before you got here?
I really had no plan after graduating from college, like many young college graduates. My only goal was to travel as much as I could, and by doing so I found that I was attracted to the arts and had a few talents I could share.
When did you know you wanted to have a career in the arts?
After quitting a few jobs I really disliked, I decided to take my artistic abilities seriously.
Did you have any interesting “odd jobs” you worked at between shows to pay the bills?
I worked as a food photographer and also was a wedding photographer for a Las Vegas drive in chapel which was fun.
Do you have any other “special skills?”
I enjoy portrait photography and music
What are some goals you hope to achieve?
One day I would really love to crowd surf at one of my shows. Of course, current circumstances limit that – but hopefully one day I can achieve that.
